Cancellation policy

Cancel within 24 hours of booking: 100% refund.
Excludes bookings within 7 days of check-in.

Cancel 30 days before check in: 100% refund.
Excludes bookings within 7 days of check-in.

Cancel 7 days before check in: 25% refund of the nightly rate, fees, and taxes.

Travel Insurance

We’ve partnered with Rental Guardian to offer travel insurance for your trip. If our policy doesn’t cover your cancellation, you can file a claim through them. You can purchase this insurance here, even after booking.

House rules

You’ll be staying in someone’s home, so please treat it with care and respect.

  1. CHECK IN /CHECK OUT – Check in time is 4:00 PM. Check out time is 11:00 AM. Unless otherwise authorized by Guest Haus.

  2. PARTIES AND EVENTS – We do not allow parties, loud gatherings or events of any sort to be held in the property. We greatly appreciate your compliance on this as we do not want any issues with our neighbors or the city. Any reports or evidence of a party or organized event taking place will lead to an immediate vacation of the property, without reimbursement.

  3. NOISE – Please keep the noise level down after 10 p.m., in accordance with the city bylaws and to not disturb the neighbors.

  4. BROKEN ITEMS – Please inform Guest Haus of any damages or broken items that noticed upon your arrival. Furthermore, accidents happen and if something breaks during your stay, please inform us, in order for us to replace or repair it prior to a following Guest’s stay.

  5. NEIGHBORS – Guests must notify Guest Haus of any complaints from neighbors as soon as possible.

  6. PETS – We do not allow pets or animals of any sort. Any evidence of pets or animals will be subject to an additional cleaning fee of $250.

  7. SMOKING – Smoking is not permitted inside the property, or outside while still in the premises of the property. Any evidence of smoking on the property premises will incur an additional cleaning fee of $500.

  8. VISITORS – Guests are responsible for their visitors. Visitors must comply with the House Rules, and Guests will be held liable for any violation as if the violation was carried out by the Guests.

  9. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING – Guests are to dispose of garbage and recycling into the allocated bins. Excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas.

  10. SECURITY – Guests must ensure that all doors and windows are properly locked every time they leave the property, and at the end of their stay. Failure to maintain the security of the property (locking doors and windows) will result in a $200 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages/theft that occur during their stay.

  11. POOL – Swimming is at your own risk. All children must be accompanied by an adult while in the pool area. For your safety, no diving or jumping into the pool is permitted. Please do not run around the pool area.

    When finished, please make sure the pool lights are turned off.

    Please keep all glass away from the pool, and clean up after yourselves.

    Please keep noise levels to a reasonable level to respect our neighbors.

    Do not tamper with pool equipment or attempt to adjust pool settings (including pool lights) beyond their regular use.

    If there are any issues with the pool, or anything is broken and/or spilled into the pool, please contact us immediately.

  12. VINYL ROOM – Please handle all records and equipment with care. Records are delicate and can easily be scratched or damaged. When playing a record, make sure your hands are clean. Only touch the edges of the record and the labeled surface. Do not touch the grooves. Please refrain from ‘DJ scratching’ on the records. It can damage both the vinyl and the stylus.

    To play a record, gently place the needle on the outer edge of the record. Do not drop or abruptly place the needle on the record. Please make sure to turn off the record player when not in use.

    To protect the records and player, no food or drinks are allowed in the vinyl room.

    Please do not remove any records or equipment from the vinyl room.

    After listening, please return the records to their correct sleeves and storage location to keep them in good condition for other guests to enjoy.

    If any damage occurs, please let us know immediately.

  13. BBQ GRILL & FIREPIT – If you plan to use BBQ or fire pit – please only do so if you are familiar with propane gas. If you need help or guidance please call management. This is to ensure your safety. The BBQ grill is in the backyard and is propane gas operated, as is the fire pit in the table. We ask that Guests clean up the grill after each use, including pouring out the drip pan. Failure to do so may incur a grill cleaning fee of $100.

    When finished using the grill and/or fire pit, please ensure that the propane valve AND grill burners are shut off. Failure to do so may damage the property and Guests will be held liable for any damage that results.

  14. FIREWORKS – The use of fireworks anywhere on the property premises is strictly forbidden, subject to a $500 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.

  15. PARKING – Guests may park vehicles in the driveway in front of the property, or in the garage.

    Parking on the street is permitted during the day, but not overnight. Loss of the garage remote will incur a $200 replacement fee.

  16. REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS – Every attempt is made to maintain the property in the best of condition. Guest Haus does not guarantee that appropriate repair and or replacement will be performed during the Guests’ stay. It is the Guests’ responsibility to immediately notify Guest Haus of any issues with the property during their stay so that repairs and or replacement may be promptly taken care of to the best of the Guest Haus’ ability.

    Guest Haus is not responsible for any occurrences to which we have no immediate control. These inconveniences include but are not limited to: weather conditions, power outages, road conditions or breakage of non-essential appliances (including, but not limited to: dishwasher, grill, pool heater, washer and dryer).

    *Please inform us if any of the equipment in the house is not operating correctly. We will make every reasonable effort to make repairs as quickly as possible.

  17. TOILET – Do not flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. This can cause plumbing issues and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.
