This unique dwelling, nestled in one of Austin’s prestigious historic districts, seamlessly marries the allure of the 1940s with the sophistication of contemporary living. The house radiates an inviting ambiance, filled with generous sunlight, comfort, and a hint of nostalgia, all wrapped in a prime location.

The large, secluded backyard is a sanctuary within the city. It boasts a Cowboy Pool and a picnic table perfect for alfresco dining . Adding a touch of whimsy, a bright red tire swing sways gently, ready to entertain both the young and the young-at-heart.

Inside, you will find 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms. 2 of these rooms have versatile daybeds, providing additional sleeping or lounging options. You will also find 2 full bathrooms.

Inside is also a fully-equipped kitchen, ready to inspire culinary creations with its array of utensils and appliances. From quick breakfasts to lavish dinners, this space will facilitate all your gastronomic endeavors.

The living room is a warm and inviting space, washed in natural light and adorned with chic décor. It’s the ideal spot to curl up with a good book, engage in heartfelt conversations, or enjoy a movie.

Practical amenities include a washer and dryer housed in the garage, allowing you to pack lightly and freshen up your outfits at your convenience.

Cancellation policy

Cancel within 24 hours of booking: 100% refund.
Excludes bookings within 7 days of check-in.

Cancel 30 days before check in: 100% refund.
Excludes bookings within 7 days of check-in.

Cancel 7 days before check in: 25% refund of the nightly rate, fees, and taxes.

Travel Insurance

We’ve partnered with Rental Guardian to offer travel insurance for your trip. If our policy doesn’t cover your cancellation, you can file a claim through them. You can purchase this insurance here, even after booking.

House rules

You’ll be staying in someone’s home, so please treat it with care and respect.

  1. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT – Check in time is 4:00 PM. Check out time is 11:00 AM. Unless otherwise authorized by your host.

  2. PARTIES AND EVENTS – We do not allow parties, loud gatherings or events of any sort to be held in the property. We greatly appreciate your compliance on this as we do not want any issues with our neighbors or the city. Any reports or evidence of a party or organized event taking place will lead to an immediate vacation of the property, without reimbursement.

  3. NOISE – Please keep the noise level down after 10 p.m., in accordance with the city bylaws and to not disturb the neighbors.

  4. BROKEN ITEMS – Please inform us of any damages or broken items that noticed upon your arrival. Furthermore, accidents happen and if something breaks during your stay, please inform us, in order for us to replace or repair it prior to a following Guest’s stay.

  5. NEIGHBORS – Guests must notify us of any complaints from neighbors as soon as possible.

  6. PETS – We do not allow pets or animals of any sort. Any evidence of pets or animals will be subject to an additional cleaning fee of $250.

  7. SMOKING – Smoking is not permitted inside the property, or outside while still in the premises of the property. Any evidence of smoking on the property premises will incur an additional cleaning fee of $500.

  8. VISITORS – Guests are responsible for their visitors. Visitors must comply with the House Rules, and Guests will be held liable for any violation as if the violation was carried out by the Guests.

  9. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING – Guests are to dispose of garbage and recycling into the allocated bins. Excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas.

  10. SECURITY – Guests must ensure that all doors and windows are properly locked every time they leave the property, and at the end of their stay. Failure to maintain the security of the property (locking doors and windows) will result in a $200 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages/theft that occur during their stay.

  11. BBQ GRILL – If you plan to use BBQ – please only do so if you are familiar with propane gas grills. If you need help or guidance please call management. This is to ensure your safety. The BBQ grill is in the backyard and is propane gas operated. We ask that Guests clean up the grill after each use, including pouring out the drip pan. Failure to do so may incur a grill cleaning fee of $100.

    When finished using the grill, please ensure that the propane valve AND grill burners are shut off. Failure to do so may damage the property and Guests will be held liable for any damage that result.

  12. FIREWORKS – The use of fireworks anywhere on the property premises is strictly forbidden, subject to a a $500 fine and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.

  13. PARKING – Guests may park vehicles in the driveway. Street parking is also fee.

  14. BACKYARD FENCE – Please do not enter or exit the backyard through the wooden fence on the side of the house. This fence is broken and trying to move it will further damage it.

  15. REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENTS – Every attempt is made to maintain the property in the best of condition. We does not guarantee that appropriate repair and or replacement will be performed during the Guests’ stay. It is the Guests’ responsibility to immediately notify Guest Haus of any issues with the property during their stay so that repairs and or replacement may be promptly taken care of to the best of our ability.

    We are not responsible for any occurrences to which we have no immediate control. These inconveniences include but are not limited to: weather conditions, power outages, road conditions or breakage of non-essential appliances (including, but not limited to: dishwasher, grill, pool heater, washer and dryer)

    *Please inform us if any of the equipment in the house is not operating correctly. We will make every reasonable effort to make repairs as quickly as possible.

  16. TOILET – Do not flush anything down the toilet other than toilet paper. This can cause plumbing issues and Guests will be held responsible for any related damages that occur.

  17. POOL – Please use the Cowboy Pool with care. Do not bring any food or drinks into the pool, or any glass. Do not jump into the pool. Do not empty water out of the pool. Do not touch any of the pool equipment. Most importantly, please remember to place the cover back on top of the pool after every use!
